As of March 7, 2022, Dubuque County is currently at a LOW Community Level according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This level is determined by looking at three metrics: new COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days, the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, and total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days
This level is used to provide local mitigation recommendations for masking, testing, and vaccination, etc. On March 16, 2022, the Dubuque County Board of Health formally adopted the CDC recommendations for community’s experiencing a low Community Level. See a full list of those recommendations here.
Getting vaccinated will help keep you, your family, and your community healthy and safe. At 95% efficacy, the vaccine is extraordinarily effective at protecting you from the virus.
